As a Girl Raised in the South, I know it takes a special recipe to end up with the lip smackin' dish known to all true southerners as Cheesy Grits. Now that I'm raising three southern belles of my own, the recipe to raise these belles to successful adulthood hasn't changed that much in its basic contents. It's the fundamentals that my grandma was using, with a few extra additions to make this recipe completely my own. Some grits, a pinch of salt, and a big ole handful of shredded cheese...the result? A thing of beauty.
